(More customer reviews)This fan exceeded my expectations! It is powerful and super quiet, and the finish is beautiful. It can be used in smaller rooms at lower speeds but because of its large wingspan, it may look out of place. The previous review of 9 to 10 feet ceilings minimum is about right.
An upside and downside to this fan is that the blades must purchased separately. This means you can customize the blade colors to your suiting but the cost of the blades is an extra $75 - $100.
You must also balance the blades with the fan when installing and the fan itself is very heavy to mount on the ceiling. If you aren't the experienced handyman type, you'll need to get a professional which will add to cost (on top of the cost of the fan and the blades).
I told my husband if we move out of our house, the ceiling fan goes with us.
